Melon-Headed Dolphins in Bataan

I saw in the news earlier the story on more that a hundred or three hundred melon-headed dolphins (or whales) stranded in Pilar Bataan and the collective efforts of the local fishermen and government agencies to rescue them. It was really heartwarming knowing that although sometimes these fishermen are the cause of "accidents" among these dolphins, they have acted on their own as concerned citizens. That sight of hundreds of dolphins must be really something special though. Just seeing a few of them while dolphin-watching in Bohol was really exciting, so I can imagine how these people felt like.

Above is the picture of the dolphin I managed to take while in Bohol. Pitiful shot? He he.
