Watery Wednesday: Mangroves

During our visit to Puerto Princesa in Palawan, we also went for a tour of the islands in Honda Bay. We went to Snake Island and Pandan Island and it was in Pandan Island where I saw these mangroves. They were flourishing and protecting the island!
This is a good sign that the island will stay for a long time so other tourists like us, and the natural inhabitants of the mangrove, can enjoy them!
Have a happy Watery Wednesday everyone!

  1. Mangroves are quite unusual aren't they.

  2. Aren't they the most unique trees? I have found drift seeds from mangroves on our coast. They remind me [the trees] of banyans. Do you suppose they're related in some way?
