Friday Quotes

Hard work doesn't hurt anyone, but I do not want to take any chances!

I am writing my Friday Quotes on a Sunday, and I am just lazing around. I love Sundays, especially when I have finished the house chores and is free to just sit, read a book, tweet, play Farmville and hunt for some mp3 download. After attending mass with the kids today, we eat lunch at home and then just basically rest. I just got up from a short nap with the kids, and they will be up to play some more and then sleep early for their classes tomorrow.

I really love Sundays as they are really a time for the family either when we are just staying at home, or even out for some bonding. So I make sure to do most on Saturdays so that I can just rest the day before the start of the work week.

Mellow Yellow Monday

My sister turned 18 this February. She is now officially an adult! I know my sister to be a responsible person and I know she will go places someday. She is taking up a course in Journalism, although I wanted her to take up Accountancy so she can teach me option trading. I had some classes about it and I need some refresher, ha ha. But it's her life so she can do as she please and I can only guide her and hope that that is enough.

For her small birthday celebration with friends, we made this delicious punch, which was laden with gin later that night! Well, they are already adults, ha ha. And for me, it is okay to drink with good friends, occasionally under adult supervision.

This yellow balloon, was the effort of my sister in-law and her kids to spruce up the place for this simple birthday party! Life is really better with a splash of yellow!

Time For A Cool Change

Summer is almost here, and that means our body must be ready to be bared! Be it on the beach or swimming pool, or just while trying to pass the hot summer days. We already have tickets to Boracay, ready to hit that world-class beach. But I think my body is not yet ready. I have been hitting the gym, on and off for some months now. Recently, I had an odontec to remove my impacted tooth and was advised not to run for a week. And this week, I would have another one taken out. So, excercise is really out for me these two weeks. But my body is suffering! I gained some pounds in just those two weeks. And with my age, it is not really that easy to lose them. So I was thinking if a tummy tuck could be the answer. I was looking at Rodeo Drive Tummy Tuck and I think that they will do a good job. Their patients looked happy and convinced that they did a great job! I may also look at liposuction as an option, although I am afraid of the process involve. But looking at the website, they had me convinced that the procedure is not as scary as we are made to believe. I think in some more years I would have to take a serious look at breast augmentation, although I thankfully do not need it at the moment. But should I really need it, I really would go to Rodeo Drive for a free consultation so that I would know my options. You should also try to visit their website, especially the FAQ's portion which addresses your initial queries about the procedure.

It really is time for a cool change for me. For my self confidence, I have to be convinced that I am still a hot momma! Ha ha!

Mellow Yellow Monday

I took this picture yesterday, during the Chinese New Year, when we attended a wedding reception at a Chinese restaurant. They seem to have lots of beliefs on how to welcome the new year to make you more successful. I hope that it will give me some good luck this year. There is no harm in trying!

Happy Mellow Yellow!

Friday Quotes

God gave you two legs to walk, to hands to hold, two ears to hear, two eyes to see. But why did he gave you only One Heart? Because he gave the other one to someone for you to find.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Litratong Pinoy: Iyo

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

Its Wednesday once again, and time to count our blessings and source of happiness! For his week, I am thankful for:

1. Kenny Rogers Tuna Melt. Yummy I tell you.
2. Having my impacted tooth pulled out. Oh, it was painful alright but I am just thankful for one less thing to worry about.
3. Cheap Cebu Pacific tickets for our Boracay trip. There are 8 of us and I only paid almost P600 each. Happiness, right?
4. A budding business venture for me and hubby. If it is as successful as it is now in 6 months, expect a new, custom logo design for it to appear in this blog.
5. A belated birthday dinner with friends at Metrowalk.
6. Friends who believe in you and trusts you enough to take the plunge.
7. First Vita Plus
8. Free wifi access when I need to have that FB fix :-)
9. My sister's 18th birthday
10. My kid's butterfly kisses at night!

Mellow Yellow Monday

This was my birthday lunch celebration last February 1 and the table is indeed filled with lots of yellow! I love the yellow balloon which my sister gave me, and the yellow plates also made for easy eating. And we sure ate a lot! It was simple, yet very fun birthday lunch, made more special by the loving presence of friends!

What is Wrong with this Picture?

Just what is wrong with this picture? Or should I ask, is there anything right about it? First, the lighting is off, the angle is off and the blatant electioneering is way, way way off!!! In the first place, why should we thank her for this pedestrian overpass? Do we not deserve to benefit from the taxes we are paying that we have to thank her for it? Utang na loob ba natin sa kanila na binigyan nila tayo ng overpass? I think in other parts of the world, this is a basic public service, but in the Philippines, we have to thank her for it. And to be reminded by this humongous green banner is downright irritating, to say the least. This is one big road hazard, I tell you. Motorists may become so irritated, they will just put down their foot on the pedal!

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

I just turned 33 last February 1 and I really have a lot of reasons to be happy. But before I that, I just realize that this blog turned one last September without much fanfare and I am thinking of having a belated contest to celebrate both the blog's anniversary and my birthday! I am thinking that a free webhosting as the major prize would surely be a hit. Plus some dollars and items of course. I am seriously considering getting my own webhost this year and I really think its about time. So what do you think? Pehpot is having a contest right now and I might join because of the free webhosting.

So anyway, here are just some the reasons I am happy this week:

1. I turned 33 and it was not as painful as I imagined it would be. It was actually fun, and fulfilling to be this old. Ha ha.
2. The wonderful greetings and gifts I received from my loved ones and friends.
3. A new business venture (I am keeping my fingers crossed ;-)
4. Two of my blogs are actually earning good money now. Yehey!
>5. Meeting up with friends for some good food and laughter.
6. Cooking for my loved ones.
7. Good old chocolate cake. Yum!
8. Yellow Cab pizza.
9. Friends who think that Lucky Me pancit canton and cold RC are a real treat.
10. Birthday balloons in my cubicle. Now, everybody greets me a happy birthday! Ha ha!

Mellow Yellow Monday

This was taken during my son's field demonstration last week when they danced to the tune of Bailamos. They had the most beautiful costume, thanks to the captivating combination of red and yellow. My son is on second to right of this picture. I was happy to see that he was dancing very well because he is a shy kid. But I guess he did enjoy himself as he was even waving to me before and after the dance. It was also a surprise that he liked his costume, as he is a t-shirt kind of kid, just like me. He would love this Navy SEALs Tshirt as I would, but he looks so good in his Enrique Iglesias ensemble! I just wish I was able to take a closer shot.
